About Us:

Coach Mike Henneberry played collegiate tennis at Northern Arizona University, where he achieved an impressive 18–5 record during the 1984 season. That same year, he was named the Big Sky Most Valuable Player and went on to earn two Big Sky Conference titles and three overall championships during his time at NAU. Mike has been coaching tennis for many years, and today, many of his former students are now bringing their own children to learn from him.

Coach Mike MacKay, a lifelong Arizona native, has been coaching tennis for more than 25 years. As a junior player, he was ranked #1 in the Southwest for both the 16s and 18s divisions and was a two-time state singles champion. He competed at the prestigious Kalamazoo National Championships, finishing as a doubles finalist and earning a #2 national doubles ranking, as well as a #53 national ranking in singles. Mike went on to play for the University of Arizona, where he competed at the #1 doubles position his senior year.

Coach Lynley Bailey: Lynley grew up in Arizona and began her tennis career right here in Ahwatukee. She excelled in both USTA competition and high school tennis, earning the #1 USTA Southwest ranking in the U14–U18 divisions and achieving an incredible 93-match winning streak. She went on to capture three consecutive state singles titles, solidifying her place as one of Arizona’s top junior players. On the national stage, Lynley reached a #22 doubles ranking and a #38 singles ranking in the U18 division. Her success earned her a full-ride tennis scholarship to the University of Houston, where she competed at the collegiate level. After completing her competitive career, Lynley returned home to Ahwatukee, where she has been coaching for more than a decade.
